Arrival at Yangon Airport was greeted with media from Eleven (Myanmar Newspaper). My 3rd trip to Myanmar in a span of 1 year. Love me tender, love me sweet. Hello Yangon. Hello, Daddy.
8th Dec
Coming to Yangon without any approval. Next up SG embassy.
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Mark 11:24. In all He is all, He is the Lord of all Lords, and the King of all Kings, yet because of Jesus perfect work on the cross, I can cry out "My abba, my father!". And he said, "You're my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased with!" Such beautiful assurance from Him.
9th Dec
17 hours bus ride to Taunggyi, attributed by loud Myanmar songs and dramas; Glaring Sun rays to beaming lights from passing vehicles; Day gave way to Night

7 degree celsius, i was in my Bermudas. 3 am was hardly any decent, i was still feeling dopey from the bus rides. Anyhow the coldest woke me up immediately. The hotel had no heater. I was so freezing cold that I started running around in my room. Mike was stunned. Breakfast @ a wonderland. Hello, Denu Village School. Whirlpools of dust. VIP vehicles became bull-locked carts in a while.
As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater" (Isaiah 55:10). Wild Sunflowers reminded me of this verse in the bible. God is a such a wonderful creator. He does not waste any experience. Far above all circumstances and situation. All things become Good.
11th Dec
We started teaching. It was nothing different from my previous experience of teaching in Laos and Myanmar. The students were very eager to learn, teaching is fun. Found my first love. English was their third language. We might not have improved their mastery of English but I'm sure our presence there had impacted some students and the experience would remain in their hearts for years to come. There are SMILES, and WAVES. For once, i can be friends with a stranger so easily.
12th Dec
A manager turned driver. A director with a heart of a mother. Power with Humanity. Learning Festival. 3rd day with rows of children greeting us. I wanted to tell them, like me, you are also the child of God. Our heavenly father loves you as much as He loves me.
Times when we are faithless, He is always faithful. Daily devotional - Jesus Blood speaks Better Things. His blood cries out, "Healing and Wholeness!"
13th Dec
R&R. Inle lake. Thank God for the wonderful company and dinner. Dances and Songs transcend Languages. Forging of friendship. Taungyi Lo Ya Taunggyi Lo ya, la la la.
14th Dec
17 hrs bus ride. Bad stomach. Good-bye Taunggyi. Hello Yangon. In my eyes, Taunggyi seems to be like a dream. I saw the best of Myanmar and taste of their spirit in the span of 4 days.
Phone call on the bus. We are going KC.
15th Dec
Good bye Yangon. Hello KC. Taxi ride to Twantay was horrendous. The sun, the heat and the bouncing car. 4 girls at the back. When will we reach? Happy Keying New Year Eve. We met the teachers and principle for the first time. We were fortunate to be invited to watch their cultural performances at night.
16th Dec
Swimming competition in the morning. I was surprised by their village spirit. Next up, sports day in school. Captain's ball is fun. Anyhow, we lost to the myanmar teachers and students again. I'm the only guy in our team, that's why. haha. Phone call. Evacuated in 15 minutes. 3 hours boat ride back. Exciting. What's next?
17th Dec
Singapore embassy. Waiting. What's next?
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your wyas acknowledge him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5. I'm loving my bible.
18th Dec
Singapore embassy. We're going back!
19th Dec
Teaching began. The students were extremely motivated and curious about my science experiments. I had a fantastic time in class. But how would this experience benefit them? I feel lost for words to this question. God doesn't waste any experience.
20th Dec
2nd day of teaching. Dinner at Village head house. Public swimming pool.
21st Dec
Learning festival. Library Opening. Team members down, 1 by 1. Thank God for my iron stomach. I am able to eat freely, without falling sick! By His stripes, We're healed! At night, we had a mini-cultural exchange programme at the host house. The villagers danced their Keyin dance and in return we had no choice but to perform something for them. The onslaught of modernization killing all cultures was evident through our unsynchronized singing.
22 Dec
Farewell. Met a boy who came to send us off.
23 Dec
